Swindon Town's hopes of League One survival are looking increasingly bleak today after falling to a late defeat away to midtable Walsall.

 

Forward Joe Edwards popping up with an 85th minute winner.

 

Town remain 2 points from safety with just a tricky home tie to Scunthorpe and an away trip to Charlton to come on the final day of the season.

 

Following the match, Swindon coach Luke Williams commented “We are still in the same situation points wise that we were before kick-off and that is almost more disappointing because we could be sitting in a much healthier position now.

 
“We’ve applied maximum pressure to ourselves and now we probably need to win the remaining two games and that’s the reality.”
