Hat-trick for Cox:
Simon Cox scores his second
hat-trick of the season
Simon Cox's second hat-trick of the season helped Swindon secure a richly deserved point at table topping Scunthorpe.

The inform striker gave Town the lead after 15 minutes but they were unable to keep Scunny at bay for long, as Grant McCann levelled things up just before the half hour mark.

A Martyn Woolford goal just after the break looked to have handed the home side the advantage, but only two minutes later Cox was on hand to level thing up once again.

However, back came Scunthorpe and just before the hour mark centre-back Krystian Pearce headed home McCann's free kick to restore their lead.

But a never-say-die Town made it 3-3 when Cox completed his treble from the spot after partner Billy Paynter had been floored in the area.

And then in the dying moments, it was Town who had the chance to clinch all three points but Lee Peacock's late effort went narrowly wide.

With 7 points from their last three games Maurice Malpas's men look to have turned a corner and are heading in the right direction.
