winner with six minutes to go
Town fans were finally given something to shout about with a richly deserved victory against Hereford.

However, things didn't get off to the best of starts when on the half hour mark the newly recalled Peter Brezovan let a tame shot slip through his grasp to hand the home side the advantage.

Maurice Malpas must have been left wondering what was going on following Phil Smith's howler at the weekend.

Thankfully top scorer Simon Cox was on hand to slot home the equaliser just before the break.

And when Lee Peacock coolly slid home the winner with six minutes left Town's travelling fans finally had what everyone had been looking for - a Swindon victory.

"I'm delighted with the win and I just hope we can take some confidence into Saturday's game against Huddersfield at the County Ground," claimed Malpas after the final whistle.
