Farloe Titan, trained by Paul Sallis, broke away superbly to win The Betfair Arc 2010, live in front of the Sky cameras last night.

 

Titan, the 7/1 winner, out-trapped the rest of the field and led from the first bend.

 

The early favourite Westmead Osprey didn’t get a look in, with Gilbeyhall Jake wanting to move out.

 

Sallis managed a 1-2 in the race, with kennelmate Klockwork Kyla coming 2nd. Titan powered home in 28.38 to pick up the £8,000 prize.

 

It was also a brilliant night for the local greyhounds. Moycullen Pride, trained by Cherie Llewellyn, made all of a good break to win the 737m race in 44.91, with track champion Wise Maldini in second. Anzio, trained by Jim little, won the made the most of a fading Birchfield Hero to just pip him at the line in a time of 28.95.
