Calling all actors & singers

Audition for a major new musical production celebrating the life of Alfred Williams

Singers and actors are being invited to audition for a new musical production celebrating the life of writer Alfred Williams.

Williams is one of Swindon's unsung literary heroes, who published six volumes of poetry and a series of books before his untimely death in 1930.

Called The Hammerman, the play will be premiered and performed at STEAM.

It will be the centrepiece of the Alfred Williams Heritage Festival, which takes place at the museum in November 2010.

The auditions are to be held on Thursday, July 22 at Lawn Primary School.

If you are a budding thespian, and would like more more information or to register for an audition for the Alfred Williams play, The Hammerman, contact Esther Harper, the Alfred Williams Heritage Festival's project manager on 07791 894831 or email mailto:committee@alfredwilliams.org.uk
