Swindon garages running out of fuel after rush at the pumps

This was the scene at forecourts across Swindon today as motorists queued up for fuel.
Some garages ran out of diesel, with only premium unleaded available at others after supplies failed to keep up with demand.
The rush comes after fears of a strike by tanker drivers and Government advice to 'top up' if you have half a tank or less.
At Sainsburys in Stratton, the queue stretched right back onto the A420 this morning as the supermarket used staff to co-ordinate drivers waiting patiently to fill up.
And another good business to be in....
While garages serving fuel reported a 300% upturn in customers, sweltering tempertaures meant Ray's Ice Cream in Old Town also had one of their busiest day's of the year.
