BBC Question Time in Swindon 

One of the last appearances on TV of Charles Kennedy, who has sadly died - WATCH VIDEO
 
Charles Kennedy QC, the former Liberal Democrat MP and leader, who has sadly died this week made an appearance in Swindon on BBC Question Time in 2014.
 
It was one of the last occasions Mr Kennedy was featured in the political limelight, answering questions on a series of subjects, most notably the use of Food Banks.

THE BBC's Question Time programme was broadcast from Swindon for the very first time tonight (20 February 2014).
 
Filmed at the Phoenix Theatre at New College, a specially invited audience from the local area asked questions and joined in the discussion in front of the TV cameras.
 
On the panel chaired by David Dimbleby was Defence Secretary Philip Hammond MP, former Liberal Democrat Leader Charles Kennedy MP, the novelist Jeanette Winterson, Shadow Health Minister Liz Kendall MP & philosopher Roger Scruton, who lives nearby in Brinkworth.

Filming started at 8.15pm and ended at 9.30pm, before being broadcast on BBC1 at 10.35pm.
 
Topical questions included asking opinion on building houses on current floods plains here in Swindon, the Government's policy on benefits, current teaching standards & the perceived 'yobbery' of MPs during Prime Minister's Question Time.
