Happy Birthday, Chaps!
Prince Charles put the Royal into RIAT as the Red Arrows celebrate 50th anniversary at Air Tattoo
HRH Prince Charles visited The Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford near Swindon on Friday to mark the 50th anniversary of the Red Arrows.
SWTV caught all the action on video...
As part of a unique day to celebrate the occasion, the public were given special access to the airfield to get up close to the Red Arrows aircraft, meet the pilots and enjoy aerobatic flying displays.
The action didn't stop there though!
Saturday and Sunday also saw thousands upon thousands of aviation enthusiasts line up alongside the airfields 3,000 metre runway to witness displays by the likes of The Breitling Jet Team, The Patrouille Suisse, and the Apache AH1 - which was particularly explosive!!
You can view our highlights of the Sunday display below, along with a selection of our pictures taken on the Friday. More pictures can be found via our Facebook page (link at the bottom of the page).
