Get My Drift?!

Mad Mike Whiddett takes on the Magic Roundabout like you've never seen it before

Energy drink company Red Bull kicked the Swindon175 celebrations up a gear or two earlier this month as world-famous drift racer 'Mad' Mike Whiddett took to the Magic Roundabout in his 800bhp Mazda RX8.

"This is one of the craziest roundabouts I’ve ever discovered," Mike said.

"This place is crazy, there are so many islands and obstacles. It's a real challenge to come flying into this roundabout as fast as we can, drift around it and then head straight back out the other side."

Mad Mike and Red Bull were given special permission by Swindon Borough Council to film the stunt earlier this month, which took place at 3am much to local residents delight!

Judging from the comments on Facebook, though, for many it looked like just another trip across what is probably the most famous roundabout in the world!
