Swindon star 'doing well' after emergency birth

Swindon star Billie Piper has given birth to a bouncing baby boy - after being rushed to hospital this morning for an emergency cesarean.

 

William James Fox weighed 6lbs 11oz after Billie, 26, endured a 26-hour labour.

 

Bizarrely, it was her ex-husband Chris Evans who first announced the news to waiting reporters outside the Portland private hospital in London.

 

Still a close friend, Evans declared "Mum is very happy and I am really pleased. There are some tears of joy up there.”

 

Billie married hubby Laurence Fox, the star of detective series Lewis, on new year's eve last year.

 

A pregnant Billie admitted in the summer filming scenes for her raunchy series 'Confesions of a Call Girl' were 'very difficult with a bump to cover'.
