Clamp down on drivers using mobiles at the wheel 

Swindon police increasingly concerned about road safety
 
April could be a bad month if you like using your handheld mobile phone at the wheel.
 
Swindon police are cracking down on those motorists breaking the law by using their phones to call or text whilst driving.

Despite the increased penalty introduced 13 months ago, Wiltshire Constabulary are increasingly concerned that drivers continue to ignore the law.
 
Inspector Nick Elton, from the Wiltshire Police Road Policing Unit, said:
 
"Drivers need to realise that if they are caught using a handheld mobile phone whilst driving, be it making a call or texting it is going to cost them dear."
 
So Swindon drivers beware!
