Swindon Town Football Club
'Walk before we can run,' was the message from Paul Sturrock today in his weekly video press interview.
The Town boss was keen to stress that everyone at the County Ground was working tirelessly to ensure the team can fulfill their early season potential.
But with his hands still tied in the transfer market, he admitted that, "October had been a very difficult month for all concerned."
However, with the take-over talks progressing well the boss said, "I've got 3 or 4 players waiting in the wings that would really benifit this football club."
With Jerel Ifil, Craig Easton and Phil Smith all struggling with injury, Town fans can expect a change of personnel for the trip to Wycombe on Saturday in the F.A. Cup.
A competition the manger confesses has not been the kindest in the past, "I've never had a run in it so it would be nice for a change if we went some distance."
Comments sure to be echoed by Town fans, who likewise haven't had a decent cup run in recent history.

Swindon Speedway
Having had time to reflect on what was a hectic season to say the least, Alun Rositer declared himself overall happy with the success that his Swindon Robins enjoyed.
However, he was also happy to admit that it was a massive disapointment not to have brought home any silverware to the Abbey Stadium.
Unsurprisingly he singled out Leigh Adams for his outstanding contribution during the season both on and off the track.
With plans for next season already well underway (Leigh Adams already having signed a two year contract) the fans can expect to see sone new faces next year - once the points limit has been set.
But with the potential redevelopment of the stadium and the fantastic support from the fans, next season is set to be a real success and hopefully the elusive Elite League title.

Swindon Supermarine
Swindon Supermarine will host one of football's biggest names on Saturday - ‘Big Ron’ Atkinson.
The ex-Man United manager is the new Director of Football at Halesowen Town, who Marine face at Hunts Copse this weekend.
But Mark Collier’s men are having a tough time at the moment and their preparations for the game weren’t helped by a 5-1 thumping against Salisbury on Tuesday night.
However, Collier does believe his side are in ‘good shape’ and with new signing Richard Kear grabbing his second goal in as many games, the side have a good chance of igniting their season with a desperately needed win on Saturday.

Boxing - Jamie Cox
Jamie Cox continued his impressive start to professional boxing in Cardiff on Saturday night.
Fighting on the undercard of the Joe Calzaghe v Mikkel Kessler title unification match, Cox put on his most dominant display to date.
In front of 60,000 fans in the sold-out Millennium Stadium, the ‘Swindon Southpaw’ won all four rounds and eventually won the fight by 6 points.
Cox’s bout was the warm-up for the main event and was watched by millions of fight fans all over the globe – his performance will no doubt have impressed as he looks to push for his dream of a World Title fight.

Swindon Wildcats
The Swindon npower Wilcats are looking to make changes to their roster in order to halt their recent run of poor results.
The Cat’s Head Coach Pete Russell has released Slovakian forward Erik Bochna, but is looking to bring back a former team captain full-time.
With a home and away tie against Wight link this weekend in the Cup, the team will be looking to build some confidence over a side that they beat 5-0 last time they met.
The first match is at the Link Centre on Saturday with the puck-off at 7pm.
