Melinda overcomes nerves to star in Dancing on Ice

Swindon's Melinda Messenger put last week's skate-off behind her to glide into week four of ITV's Dancing on Ice.

 

With pro partner Fred Palascak, the 37-year-old put in a Sunday-best performance that one judge described as 'beautiful' to score 19 points and third place.

 

The public vote then put Melinda through alongside the other female contestants, Jessica Taylor, Coleen Nolan, Roxanne Palette and Zoe Salmon.

 

Former Holby City star Jeremy Edwards was voted off after a skate-off eliminator with Ellery Hanley.

 

"After last week my confidence was really low," said a relieved but delighted Melinda, "but the visit of Wayne and the kids really put everything into perspective, and I started to love it out there again.

 

"It's thanks to them I danced so well!"
