Three for Wheaton:
Wildcat forward John Wheaton makes
his first hat-trick of the season
After an 8-5 defeat in the Isle of Wight on Saturday - the Wildcats were looking to bounce back in the return home leg last night.

John Wheaton started his string of goals in just 17 seconds of the first period - which continued gaining the forward his first hat-trick of the season and saw Swindon take their revenge 8-2.

Fans witnessed the Wightlink player Mike Brabon take the occasional cheap shot at the Swindon forwards which on more than one occasion ended up in a fight.

Just as the refs sorted it out another fight broke out resulting in a player for each team being kicked out the game.

The fighting continued in the final five minutes which saw a scuffle brake out in the Swindon end which ended up with ex wildcat Gareth Endicott head butting Shane Moore and being ejected from the game.

Just as the game restarted Ryan Watt and Damon later dropped their gloves and lost their helmets and started to circle each other. The crowd were cheering with excitement as the two players got stuck into each other, with Ryan Watt coming out on top  which led to both players were also kicked out of the game.

As fans left the Link Centre the game was donned ‘the most exciting game of the season so far’.

The Romford Raiders have always been known as Swindon’s rivals, but after this game it looks like the Wightlink Raiders could take the new role.

The upcoming games against them could be well worth watching.
