The connection between Swindon and the 1970s supergroup Supertramp is local lad Rick Davies, who was originally from Swindon.

The cover of the group's top-selling album Breakfast In America shows each member of the group reading his home town's local newspaper, so Rick can be seen spilling his sugar on the good old Evening Advertiser (see picture, right).
