We are a Swindon-based, family-run business, manufacturing u-PVC and aluminium windows and doors for trade customers.
We are currently seeking an Administrator to join our small office team. The minimum requirement is that you should have basic PC and data input experience, and will have used Outlook, Excel and Word. Ideally, but not essentially, you will have a more in-depth knowledge of computers and you may even have had experience with bespoke window manufacturing programmes.
The objectives of this role include receiving inbound telephone calls from business customers, answering queries, taking messages and forwarding calls. You will assist with day-to-day administration, take responsibility for recording and resolving non-conformance issues, organise and process once-off orders, and provide support to Senior Administrators. You will contact customers to chase order confirmations and outstanding written information, and therefore will need to be tactful and patient, with a good sense of humour. Working to established lead times and delivery deadlines, you will be able to prioritise your work. You will be versatile, self-disciplined and able to "think on your feet ". You will be conscientious and accurate, with strong administration and organisational capabilities. You will have very good numeracy and literacy skills, and be a positive and effective communicator. An excellent telephone manner is essential.
This is a demanding role which requires a positive, can-do attitude, patience and the maturity to cope in a pressured, challenging and sometimes stressful environment. Our office hours are Monday to Friday, 8-00am to 5-00pm, although you should be flexible to accommodate the needs of the business.
