Our IT Infrastructure Support position will allow you the chance to show off the depth of your knowledge across multiple platforms.

You will work directly with the Global IT Manager to drive policy and procedures.

You will be assisting in the review of current technologies used and provide direct feedback into how we can do it better in the future.

We are looking for someone within commutable distance of Cirencester, Gloucestershire area for an on-site position to help us support our growing company with your unique set of IT skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Proven experience communicating directly with technical and non-technical employees to resolve their issues efficiently
- Comfortable in sharing knowledge through verbal or written instructions
- Ability to put people at ease while working in a fast-paced work environment
- Provide hands-on technical 2nd/3rd line IT Support, and act as an escalation point for the helpdesk
- Assist with the day-to-day running of the helpdesk.
- Assist in the design, selection, installation and configuration of systems, software, and infrastructure
- Responding to internal staff requests by phone/email/remote control of systems
- Creation of dynamic training materials including screenshots/videos for users
- Ability to identify patterns in issues that can be used to create FAQs for easy user understanding
- Deploying employee systems and modifying standard images to suit growing needs
- Onboarding/ Offboarding new staff on process and procedure for issue resolution
- Experience with Version Control Systems to support system management
- Assist in standing up new IT infrastructure (physical or virtual)
- Advanced Experience with Microsoft Windows operating Systems (Desktop and Servers), O365 & Azure.
- Experienced with virtualised computing infrastructure and private clouds.
- Networking – TCP/IP Networks, VPNs, Firewalls(Cisco), Switches (Cisco), SDWAN.
- Experience of Systems Security and Data Protection.
- Wi-Fi AP configuration and maintenance (Cisco)
- Understanding backup job reports and carry out troubleshooting

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES

Qualifications

- MS Server & O365 Qualifications (preferably administration and automation)
- Server & Networking Qualifications
- BSc/BA in IT, Computer Science or equivalent work experience in related fields, as per above
- Min 5 GCSE’s or equivalent (Required)
Functional / Technical competencies
- Min 2-3 years of help desk or technical support experience
- System Administration: Min 2-3 years (Required)
