Swindon starts a mobile revolution

 

Shoppers, diners and party goers in Swindon will be the first people in the UK to cash in on a brand new mobile marketing initiative which brings discounts at the touch of a button via their mobile phone.

 

The new mobile promotions service was launched last night at Liquid and Envy by inSwindon, the town’s Business Improvement District (BID) company, in association with Kaskado, the company which has developed the service.

The new service is available to anyone who has web access via their mobile phone.

 

Simply by logging on to www.kaskado.com when they are in town, users can access all the special offers and money off discounts available at participating businesses.

 

All they need to do is select the offer they want to use and simply flash their phone at the checkout, restaurant or bar.

No more vouchers littering wallets, handbags and the streets they can make sure their friends don’t miss out by forwarding on the promotions they like via the internet.

inSwindon has launched the initiative in a bid to provide great deals for visitors to Swindon Town Centre and boost visitor numbers.

The service is 100% opt-in meaning that no spam messages are sent to users and it is 100% free for the user, apart from their usual connection and data traffic charges.

 

Outlets including McDonalds, Liquid and Envy, The World Café and OMG Hair and Beauty Salon are just some of the Swindon businesses that are already involved.
