Swindon hotel celebrates revamp

Holiday Inn Swindon has undergone some major changes to improve guests’ comfort

As part of a $1billion global programme of refurbishments, the Holiday Inn Swindon has undergone some major changes to improve guests’ comfort and is now ready to show them off.

The visible changes at the hotel include new signage, music and even a signature scent in the lobby, which mean guests to the hotel are in for a totally new experience.

In addition 400 pillows, 200 sq metres of carpet and 99 shower curtains have been changed in the 99 rooms at the hotel.

To improve the guest experience even further, the whole team at the hotel have been through a bespoke training programme called Stay Real.

The focus of the training has been on coaching the team to respond more efficiently to guest requests, as well as understanding the need for a positive approach to all interactions with guests – from the first hello.

‘We are delighted that we are now able to relaunch our property as a refreshed Holiday Inn," commented David Lee, General Manager of the hotel said.

"In addition to the internal changes, the whole team has also completed the ‘Stay Real’ programme putting the customer at the heart of the relaunch.

"That takes an enormous effort and we are all incredibly proud to be able to continue to deliver a great hotel that our guests love.2
