Forefront of technology:
Building Society introduces
iPod banking
Accessing your bank account has just become even simpler for Nationwide customers, with a revolutionary initiative making internet banking facilities available on the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch.

The building society, whose head office is in Swindon, is one of the first financial providers to offer this service, which is set to become very popular with people on the move.

Nationwide was the first company to launch an internet banking facility ten years ago, and now has over three million customers registered online – and this new arrangement with Apple allows customers to view and access the company's website in the same way as they can through their home computer.

The company's research shows that 37% of adults in the UK use internet banking, and with 67% of those logging on at least once a week, this convenient service is set to rocket.

Mik Hodsdon, Nationwide's divisional director, said: “Being able to manage your finances from your mobile phone or iPod couldn't be easier, and as hardly any online banks are currently able to offer access through these devices, I am pleased to tell our customers that they are able to get online straight away.”
