Revved up for the BTCC, we visit Swindon Engines, one high performance business
It's the start of the British Touring Car Championships [BTCC] this weekend and Honda here in Swindon are the defending champions.
Their new racing Civic is even sponsored by local battery giant, Yuasa.
But we decided to visit a company who you've probably never heard of - Swindon Engines.
Based in their small unit in Greenbridge, this engineering hidden gem have their roots well and truly in Formula One and this year are powering half the grid in the BTCC.
They've designed, manufactured, built and installed the engines for the MG, Toyota, Proton and Vauxhall teams and can't wait for the new season to start on Sunday - and the first few laps of on-track competition with their local rivals.
In a very busy week for them, Swindon Engines let SWTV behind the scenes to see just how this very high performance business operate.
Thanks - and the very best of luck - to Raphael Caille and all the team at Swindon Engines.
