Swindon Event Companies Win Gold 

Planet Pursuits & Capita Travel both recognised at top industry awards

 

Swindon might be known for its engineering, logistics and financial expertise, but in the less well-known sector of event management, we really do lead the way. 

 

Two major companies based here received top accolades this week at the M&IT Awards in London, where excellence in the hospitality, travel and meeting business is recognised.

 

In front of audience 1,000 at the London Battersea Evolution, Planet Pursuits & Capita Travel & Events were both announced as winners and presented with the awards by host Kate Silverton.

 

Planet Pursuits

    

Swindon based event and venue company Planet Pursuits pipped the competition to take a Gold and Silver Award at the at the 2014 Meetings & Incentive Travel Industry Awards.

 

The company was shortlisted as one of five event companies up for the Best Event Provider and Best Intermediary Agency with fewer than 40 employees.

Based on an organic farm in Purton, Planet Pursuits has been providing event management and team building services throughout the UK and into Europe for over 14 years.

 

More recently the company launched its venue and hotel booking company to complement its event services and have enjoyed recent success becoming preferred supplier to a number of large IT and Civil Engineering Companies.

 

Its wide range of activities is characterised by client-oriented service of the highest quality.

 

Capita Travel & Events 

Capita Travel and Events, previously known as Venues Event Management, was awarded ‘Best Intermediary Agency (more than 40 employees)' for the sixth consecutive year.
