A quarter of employees at Swindon's workplaces live less than 2 miles from work - a distance that can be walked in around 30-40 minutes and also burn of the calories of a toffee crisp!

 

So if that sounds like you - or perhaps you can be persuaded to just get out for and stretch your legs at lunchtime - then Walk To Work Week from 12-16 May might be right up your street.

  

And with all the best challenges there are prizes too!

 

Active Swindon

Walk to Work Week is part of the Active Swindon Challenge organised by Swindon Travel Choices & Sustrans where people walking, cycling and travelling on public transport instead of using their car this summer can win some great prizes. 

The challenge can be undertaken as an individual or as a group (family, friends, workplace, team etc).

 
Everyone who registers and completes one journey will receive a FREE water bottle.

Points are awarded for each journey made by sustainable transport with shopping vouchers, cinema tickets and a range of mystery prizes up for grabs.

 

Everyone achieving silver medal status and higher by 27th August will go into the grand prize draw to win an iPad.
