In full swing for the European finals
Golfing trio reach Mercedes-Benz European Final
Swapping engines for eagles, cars for clubs – a golfing team from the Mercedes-Benz UK Golf Tournament have won their way through to the European finals.
Tony Beal, Aric Poon and Simon Matton first competed at a local event organised by the Swindon car dealership at Bowood Golf Club, and have continued to win their places decisively through to the Regional Finals of the competition held at the Internationally acclaimed Woburn Golf Course in Bedfordshire.

The competitive trio put in an outstanding performance and qualified to compete at the Mercedes-Benz European Final of the competition at the Vila Sol Spa & Golf Resort in Valamoura in Portugal, taking place on 14th and 15th September this year, against teams representing Mercedes-Benz retailers from across Europe.
“We are delighted for Tony, Aric and Simon,” commented Mike Sands Dealer Principal for Mercedes-Benz of Swindon.
“Competing in the Regional UK competition at Woburn was a huge step forward and we are right behind the team going through to Portugal next month.”
This is a four stage International Mercedes-Benz Golf Tournament, one of the largest amateur golf tournaments in the World and if the three continue their form they will take part in the World Final in Stuttgart in September 2009.
