Media mogul moves out of town

Eddy Shah sells The Wiltshire Golf & Country Club

Former media mogul Eddy Shah and his wife Jennifer have sold the multi-million pound Wiltshire Golf and Country Club in Wootton Bassett, which they bought in 2001.

The couple have transformed the hotel and 27-hole golf course since they moved in, and are handing the reigns over so that they can concentrate on other interests.

Eddy, who first introduced colour printing to the newspaper world and Jennifer, a former Bond girl, have agreed terms with businessman Rob Smith - an experienced hotelier from Essex.

Eddy now wants to focus on completing his current novel, 'Second World' which is due to be published in November.

The couple will also retain 44 eco holiday homes which they built on the site, and plan to continue their appeal to build a further 30.
