Legal Firm Welcomes New Graduates 

One of Wiltshire’s oldest and most established solicitors - Bevirs, welcomes two new law graduates...
 

Emily, who’s 22 and a former pupil of the Royal Wootton Bassett Academy, studied law at Swansea University. While studying she undertook work experience with Bevirs at the company’s office in Royal Wootton Bassett, her home town.

 

After completing her degree, she approached the company about the possibility of employment and was successful in securing a role. She’s now studying inhouse to become a legal executive working from the Calne office in the private client department. This means supporting clients with legal matters including wills, lasting Powers of Attorney and probate.

 

Her colleague Katherine, who’s 21, is also a former pupil of Royal Wootton Bassett Academy. Katherine graduated with a first class honours degree in law from the University of the West of England (UWE) in Bristol.

 

Katherine became interested in studying law in her teens and won The Excellence in Law Award at the Royal Wootton Bassett Academy for her work – an award sponsored by Bevirs. Emily had won the same award the previous year.

 

Currently working with senior partner Sonyia Woolnough in Royal Wootton Bassett, Katherine is thrilled to be part of a company with such a rich history in the county.

 

She said: “I’ve been made to feel so welcome and it is great to learn from someone who is as passionate about their job as Sonyia.”

 

Bevirs has offices in Swindon, Royal Wootton Bassett and Calne. The company is more than 130 years old, making it one of the county's oldest employers.
