The Parade is about to be given a makeover

 

New look and feel: the Parade shopping centre

The Parade in Swindon’s town centre is about to be given a makeover.

 
The tent-style Parade canopies, one of the strong images associated with Swindon, are undergoing a thorough cleaning programme and the old banners are being replaced with new-look ones.

Scaffolding will be erected so workers can also spruce up the fronts of the building above the shops in The Parade, which is home to major retailers including Debenhams, BHS, Tesco's, Monsoon, Accessorize, Superdrug, Clarks, River Island, Thomas Cook and Toni & Guy. 

"Tthe work is expected to last several weeks and won’t disrupt pedestrians while it is being carried out," commented  Brian Morris, The Parade’s manager.

 

“This is going to make The Parade look really smart and I know the retailers are really looking forward to it.”

 

"The fresh and up-to-date image will reinforce it as a great gateway into Swindon’s shopping area.”
