£2 for 4 hours 

Reduced fee at town centre car parks to continue over Christmas

4 hours parking in Swindon town centre will still cost £2 during the busiest shopping time of the year.

 
Brunel North, Brunel West and Fleming Way car parks have all had the reduced car parking charges since July last year and the Council have decided the fee will continue indefinitely.

 

Traders are certain that lower charges have boosted visitor numbers and increased sales.

 

"It's been very positive for the town centre," commented Simon Jackson of inSwindon, who campaigned for the reduction.
