It's Independent Retailer Month 

 

Independent Retailer Month is a national campaign that promotes and celebrates independent businesses throughout the UK.

Now in its fourth year, the campaign has quickly become the voice of independent retailers to reach the local community, and gives them a chance to be heard and get on people's radar.

 

The Brunel Shopping Centre has always been a proud supporter of independent business, and this month they are helping draw attention to a fantastic selection of companies housed within their walls.

But The Brunel can't support independent businesses all on their own - they need your help too! This month they are also asking customers to send in their own little "video selfies" to speak up for a shop that they particularly admire.

A number of shops at the Brunel have already received personalised messages including AM Oriental, aqua-G, Carry On Vintage, Krafty Monkey, Miche Niche, Razor Sharp, Serisa, Sugar Oh Honey Honey, and Sweets Galore. You can view each of these below.

AM Oriental

AM Oriental is a family run business with a professional friendly team, qualified to a high standard. They offer a unique range of high quality gifts and collectables, militaria and sporting goods including real and replica swords, Samurai and historic.

 

aqua-G

The aqua-G Salon is a long established hair, beauty and nails salon and hair extension centre. Catering for all your image well-being needs, including advanced services such as semi-permanent make-up.

Carry On Vintage

Carry On Vintage is a new independent shop in Swindon. Vintage is their passion and they aim to make it fun, affordable and every day. Vintage offers customers stand out items, fun styles, top quality and something that is really unique.

 

Krafty Monkey

Krafty Monkey provides craft supplies which are fun and accessible for people of all ages and abilities. As well as working as a shop, they also run workshops and hold parties for any occasion.

 

 

Miche Niche

At Miche Niche you will find a fabulous selection of good quality retro and vintage clothing together with a unique range of accessories to suit your taste and style.

Razor Sharp

An independent Barber offering the ultimate in grooming by combining the traditional methods of barbering with modern techniques. The razor sharp staff offers services not just for men and boys but women and girls cuts also.

Serisa

This shop falls in to the category of ‘more unusual’ and boutique. Serisa sells a unique range of beautiful bags, scarves, stunning items of jewellery, accessories and gifts.

Sugar Oh Honey Honey

The owner of this beautiful shop is passionate about her hand made pin up and vintage style accessories. All products are described as "little labours of love" by owner Vicky Rose and Mum Sue Pullen.

Sweets Galore

Mother and son run this old fashioned, friendly sweet shop located by the entrance from the car park. They provide unusual sweets, retro sweets and sweets from the USA.
