And That's A Wrap!
Brunel Shopping Centre's charity gift-wrap leaves Prospect Hospice with an early present!
An idea by Swindon Town Centre’s Brunel Shopping Centre has helped raise a substantial sum of money for local charity, Prospect Hospice.
In December, the centre, in conjunction with staff and volunteers from the hospice, organised a charity gift-wrap stall. Customers were encouraged to have their Christmas gifts wrapped in return for a donation to the charity.
The total raised from the activity was £2,837.14!
Jane Stewart, Marketing Manager at The Brunel commented, “We’re so pleased that the idea was a success and raised such a great amount for Prospect Hospice. We wanted to find a way of helping to raise money for the charity but also to help our shoppers too. Christmas is such a busy time for most people so being able to offer a gift wrapping service, plus raising money for a charity that’s at the heart of our town, is excellent”.
The charity gift-wrap will return again in December!
