Dressed To Impress! 

The largest archive of vintage fashion in Europe arrives at the Swindon Designer Outlet

 

Designer Angelo Caroli was in Swindon last night to unveil the A.N.G.E.L.O. Vintage Fashion Festival at Swindon Designer Outlet.

 

The festival, which runs from the 1st to the 17th May follows a tour of McArthurGlen’s Italian centres last summer.

 

Among the attractions during the two-week event is a pop-up exhibition celebrating statement fashions that have left an enduring mark in the history books of the twentieth century.

Aptly named ‘Timeless Style’, the exhibition features a number of hand-picked treasures of the fashion world, from the iconic Gucci Bamboo bag and Yves Saint Laurent safari jacket, to the ageless Chanel quilted chained bag and further beautiful creations from the 40s to the 90s.

The exposition will also carry a rare edit of striking designs worn by celebrity idols including: 60’s pin-up Jane ‘Barbarella’ Fonda, American bombshell Marilyn Monroe and the original bespoke, hand-made Hermès bag inspired and created for Jane Birkin.

 

Pop-up Boutique

 

To coincide with the exhibit, the Designer Outlet is also hosting an A.N.G.E.L.O. pop-up boutique where vintage lovers can unearth stunning vintage pieces from the likes of Chanel, Hèrmes, Dior, Versace, Céline. The shrine to vintage will house exquisite collector’s items from famous Italian tailors to masters of Parisian Haute Couture, allowing fashion aficionados to make a piece of history their own.
