The largest archive of vintage fashion in Europe arrives at the Swindon Designer Outlet

 

Following the successful launch of a £40-million extension, Swindon Designer Outlet has been shortlisted for the BCSC (British Council of Shopping Centres) Gold Awards 2015.

 

This follows the meticulous refurbishment and integration of the adjacent Grade II-listed Long Shop building (once one of the world’s most famous railway factories)which has taken the centre to a total square footage of 250,000 with 120 stores and creating over 350 jobs in the process.

BCSC has shortlisted Swindon Designer Outlet in the newly created category of Refurbishment and/or Extension (over £5 million build contract) where it will go head-to-head with major shopping destinations across the country. This category is one of seven, and winners will be announced at the BCSC Annual Dinner on 2 December.
