A Mother's Day to remember 

Winner of our Brunel competition enjoys a day out

Mother-of-three Louise Lamb gave her own mum a Mother’s Day to remember at The Brunel shopping centre – by winning her £250’s worth of vouchers from a Brunel store of her choice.

Louise, who regularly brings her family of three young daughters and her parents to the town centre from their home in Ipswich, entered the competition on SwindonWeb when she was searching for details of what’s on in Swindon.

But she didn’t dream that her mum, Margaret Benmore, would be the lucky winner.

“I couldn’t believe it when I got a call to say I’d won,” said Louise.

“My mum was absolutely thrilled. She’s really active and has wanted a Wii for ages, so we came back to Swindon and had had a brilliant day.
"Mum got the Wii with some games and remotes, and then we all shopped and shopped.

The girls had a McDonald’s for lunch, which they thought was fantastic. We all really enjoyed ourselves – it couldn’t have been better!”
