Good news for Swindon as supermarket giant invests in new development
Swindon has umpteen Tescos, Aldis, Co-Ops and Sainsbury's - and now it's going to get a Waitrose.
The upmarket supermarket giant is set to open its first-ever store here at the new District Centre in Wichelstowe.
An announcement is about to be made by Swindon Borough Council on the new venture, which will also see other amenities being built with the Waitrose investment.
If all goes to plan, the new 2,500 square metre store will be open at the end of 2013.
