Swindon 10K Takes Off! 

Record turnout at Wroughton airfield for annual run - SEE PICTURES

 

Hundreds of runners braved the cold on Sunday for the annual Swindon 10K race.

 

Now in its seventh year, the Swindon 10K is a flat two lap course and this year took place in Wroughton via Overtown along quiet country roads.

 

Ultimately it was Joshua Dixon who took the race win, crossing the line in a little over 32 minutes - pipping fellow competitor Luke Evans by mere seconds.

 

The women's race was won by Bristol & West's Amy Chalk.
