Swindon pro David Howell enjoys the luck of the Irish in golf challenge

 

Swindon golf star David Howell has played some pretty amazing shots over the years - his award-winning tee-shot on the 17th in the 2006 Ryder Cup coming to mind.

 

But little could prepare the Broome Manor pro for this unusual challenge - skimming balls at a gong 200 yards away at the Gap of Donloe lake in Killarney, Ireland last month alongside other European Tour stars.

 

But hey, all that target practice on the driving range at Broome paid dividends, as this brilliant video shows.

 

"The first thing I've won in years!" he was the first to admit!
