Town are suddenly leaking goals and failing to score them at the other end when it matters.

 

After a purple patch of sound defending and clinical finishing from Paynter and Austin, Swindon have only taken one point from the last nine - and now have Huddersfield breathing down their necks for the last play-off place. 

 

Unlucky

 

Despite hitting the woodwork three times in the first half, Town found themselves 2-0 down thanks a second minute tap-in from Wilbraham - then a headed goal from Tunnicliffe.

 

Efforts that ultimately settled matters despite a stoppage-time goal from the hard-working Danny Ward.

 

"Unfortunately, it was too little, too late," commented Danny Wilson.

 

Town drop to 6th.
