RESULT: Wycombe Wanderers 2 Swindon Town 2 Swindon scorers: Paynter 48, Sheehan 80 Wycombe scorers: Bloomfield 45+3, Revell 75
Swindon Town's automatic promotion hopes looked dashed tonight despite Alan Sheehan's late equaliser salvaging a point.
With two games to go, Town stand four points and a much inferior goal difference behind second placed Leeds United.
A situation manager Danny Wilson admitted as being 'disappointing to say the least', in a critical post-match summary of his players' performance.
"We were collectively very poor this afternoon, and that's putting it mildly," an angry Wilson said.
"This was a big game for us and we didn't perform. And if the players think we've done it now and we're in the play-offs, they're all in for a big shock.
"Promotion is the target this season and we haven't achieved anything yet."
The manager's frustration compounded by an injury to Mark Marshall in injury-time that saw the defender hobble off.
