Charlie Austin saved a point for Town from the penalty spot before hitting the woodwork in the final minute.

 

Swindon's top scorer was on target for the tenth time this season after Peterborough had taken a deserved first half lead through Lee Tomlin's classy finish.

  

But after Alan Sheehan went close for Town in a second-half turnaround, it was a reassurgent Swindon that looked the better team.

 

The points almost secured by Austin in the final seconds of the game - only for the in-demand striker see his shot rebound off the post. 

 

"We were fantastic at times after the break," Danny Wilson explained, "and I looking forward to 2011 if we can keep it up."
