Charlton 2 Swindon 4Npower League One
RESULT: Charlton Athletic 2 Swindon Town 4
Town scorers: Ritchie 41, Austin (2) 56, 81, Morrison 77
Charlton scorers: Jackson 22, Abbott 87
Charlie Austin scored twice as Swindon produced their best performance of the season.
In front of the SKY Sports cameras, Town recovered from an early set-back to demolish Charlton's defence in a second-half display Danny Wilson described as 'super in every department'.
Dominant second-half
Swindon got going after John Jackson's defectled shot gave Charlton the lead. Matt Ritchie on target for the second successive game after a fine delivery from Michael Rose.
The momentum after half-time continued when Austin - linked with a move to Cardiff today - slotted in number sixteen for the season, with Sean Morrisson then heading in a well-deserved third as the Robins dominated.
The icing on the cake arrived in the 81st minute with the best finish of the game from Austin for his second.
A consolation for Charlton with three minutes left was largely unseen by the home supporters, many of whom had already headed for the exits.
"Finally we showed what we can do," commented a beaming Danny Wilson, "and I'm delighted, especially as it came against one of the best sides in the league."
"We just need to keep it up. And that's exactly what I've told the players."
