A Mehdi Kerrouche double secured Town's first points on the road and their third win in a row.

 

After a pre-match war of words between Paolo Di Canio and Crawley boss Steve Evans, it was Swindon who importantly struck first just before the half-hour.

 

Alan Connell in the right place to turn in an acrobatic effort from Raffaele De Vita.

 

And in a strong defensive display, Swindon then held firm despite a period of poor passing and sound Crawley pressure.

 

The crucial blow came with eight minutes to go when Kerrouche headed home number two before grabbing his fourth of the season with a clinical finish.

 

Town rise to 10th.
