Swindon drawn at home to Wigan in the FA Cup 3rd round

 

Town's reward for beating Colchester yesterday is a home clash with the Premiership's bottom club, Wigan Athletic.

 

The game will be played over the weekend of 7 and 8 January 2012.

Swindon are in the hat with the big boys after another stunner from Matt Ritchie.

 

The Robins' midfielder struck on the hour with a superb strike from just outside the box as Town dominated their League One opponents.

 

"This is another great win for us but there is still ways we can improve," Di Canio commented, before admitting he'd love to take on a top Premiership side in the third round draw.

 

"Anyone from Manchester would be nice!"

 

The draw takes place on Sunday at approx. 2.40pm. Swindon is ball 48.
