Di Canio strengthens squad with summer signings

Seven Heaven For Di Canio  

 

Paulo Di Canio has made his seventh pre-season signing - 23-year-old defender Troy Archibald-Henville from Exeter.

 

He joins Jay McEveley, Tommy Miller, Alan Navarro, Gary Roberts, James Collins & Andy Williams on two-year deals as the squad prepare to head off for pre-season training in Italy.

"These are all exactly the players I need in my team," a delighted Di Canio commented.

 

Meanwhile, players not required by the manager include Alan Connell, Lee Cox, Mattia Lanzano, Jonathan Smith & Luca Magera.

More Town Signings..... "and I'm not finished yet!"

 

Swindon Town have confirmed the signing of ex-Barnsley left-back Jay McEveley, midfielder Tommy Miller & Alan Navarro on free transfers.

 

"I have more players in my plans," declared Di Canio.

Preparations are well underway for Swindon's assault on League One.

Paolo Di Canio today unveiled two new signings - both strikers. Experienced Huddersfield winger Gary Roberts (below right) and Yeovil's 25-year-old Andy Williams.

They join 21-year-old James Collins from Shrewsbury Town. All have signed on two-year deals.

 

"These players are a very positive step for us," declared a happy Di Canio.

 

Swindon head off to Italy for pre-season training on 01 July.
