RESULT: Swindon Town 0 Norwich City 0

Despite being the better team for vast periods of the game Swindon crashed out of the JPT on penalties to fellow League One promotion chasers Norwich.

Craig Easton was the unfortunate player who had his penalty save at a crucial time with the scores 4-3 to the visitors.

 

Town had their chances to progress in a game that proves they are very much play-off contenders with efforts from Billy Paynter and Charlie Austin just failing to find the back of the net.

Town manager Danny Wilson remained upbeat after the performance and assured Easton he 'wouldn't be left out to dry' for his penalty mishap.

 

With Swindon's League One fixture against Leeds postponed this Saturday Wilson will have some time to get his player prepared and focused for their vitally important away trip to Carlisle on Saturday 21st November.
