Swindon been drawn away to Fulham in the third round of the FA Cup

 

Graham Greer may have grabbed the winner but Town fans have Dave Lucas to thank - and the referree - for keeping the Swindon ball in the bag for the FA Cup draw tomorrow.

 

The Robins' keeper made a string of fine saves in the second half to keep the non-Leaguers at bay while the referree gave Kevin Amankwah the benefit of the doubt for a handball incident in the penalty box.

 

That after Wrexham had been reduced to ten men after a two-footed tackle on Jonathan Douglas.

 

But just when it looked like Danny Wilson was going to settle for hard-fought draw and a replay, defender Gordon Greer glanced a JP McGovern corner into the Wrexham net - and Town were through.

 

"That was tough, no doubt about that. All the players in the dressing room know they've been in a game today," said Wilson.

 

"But we're in to next round and that's all that matters."
