Charlton 2 Swindon 2
Coca-Cola League One
RESULT: Charlton Athletic 2 Swindon Town 2
Swindon scorer: Austin 56, Paynter 74
Charlton scorer: Shelvey 38, Llera 90+4
Charlton sent-off: Sodje 18, Burton 40
Town fans would have taken a draw before the game kicked-off - but not at the final whistle, as nine man Charlton grabbed an injury-time equaliser.
Goals from Charlie Austin - his sixth in six games - and Billy Paynter looked to have given Swindon an unexpected victory after Charlton had two players sent off before half-time.
The first a straight red when Sam Sodje fouled JP McGovern after only twenty minutes; the second for dissent almost immediately after JonJo Shelvey gave the home side the lead.
But with a two-man advantage, Charlie Austin levelled on 56 minutes before Paynter scored what everyone expected was the winner with fifteen minutes to go - only for a last desperate Charlton attack to spoil the day.
"You've got to admire Charlton's never-say-die attitude," commented a clearly annoyed Danny Wilson, "but we should have made them pay for their indiscipline, no doubt about that."
Swindon fall to 7th.
