Town failed to breach Crewe's blue wall of defence on an afternoon of few chances and very little entertainment.

 

Swindon's best chance falling to a strangely off-key Simon Cox mid-way through a second-half the Robins dominated, but the League One's leading scorer shot weakly with just the keeper to beat.
