Billy Paynter made up for two glaring misses by converting a penalty with ten minutes to go.

 

Earlier the hard-working Town striker had hit the post from the spot and headed wide when faced with an open goal.

 

But when a cross by Tope Obadeyi was handled in the box on 79 minutes, Paynter made amends second time around in convincing style.

 

Shambles

 

The home side dominated the early period of the game, with Troy Deeney punishing a hesitatant Sean Morrison as early as the seventh minute.

 

"We could have gone in at half time four-nil down," admitted Town manager Danny Wilson.

 

"We were a shambles early doors but we recovered after the break and I'll take the point."
