Fancy a Cheltenham bet today?

Man From Highworth a 100-1 shot in the Foxhunters' Chase

STORY UPDATE: 19 March 2010 4:21pm
Man From Highworth finishes 13th
Despite running with the leaders for the first 3 miles, Man From Highworth faded from 5th to 13th in a hotly competitive finish, eventually won by Baby Run.

If you fancy a little flutter at Cheltenham today, then one locally trained horse could be well worth an each-way bet.

'Man From Highworth' - yes, you guessed it - trained at Common Farm in Highworth is a 100-1 shot in the Foxhunters' Chase at 4.00pm.

And with the Festival this year producing more than its fair share of surprise winners, another big-odds upset could be on the cards.

And what an emotional result in would be, after the owner of the horse, John Manners, died at the end of last year, leaving his wife, Audrey, to take over the training.

The pair having won the Foxhunter's race - run over the same course as the Gold Cup - back in 2000 with Cavelero at 66-1.

What's each-way?

For those not in the know when it comes to having a wager, an each-way bet pays out if the horse finishes in the top three - the full odds if first and a quarter of the odds if second or third.
