Local people unite to make charity single & video for military charities - GET INVOLVED

 

The repatriations may have now moved to Brize Norton but the people of Wootton Bassett are still doing their bit to honour the Armed Forces.

 

 

A group of fundraisers are organising a charity single and video in aid of military charities.

 

And if you live in the town, Lyneham or in the immediate area, you can help on Sunday when they film the official video for the song in Wootton Bassett High Street, which has been closed especially for the event.

Music recordings have already been made in St. Bartholomew's Church and mixed at Peter Gabriel's Studio in Box, and if you are an actor, singer or fancy just being an extra (or crucially a marshall) in the video then you are encouraged to get in touch via the official website (see link below).

 

"We aim to involve the whole community with the basic aim of raising as much money as possible," said local musician Andy Pett, who has been helping with the project.

The track chosen is Green Day's Wake Me Up When September Ends and is expected to be released in October.
